This deployment consists of a low-power edge compute appliance operating within a residential environmental envelope under continuous passive observation conditions.
The hardware appliance was recovered during a prior asset disposition event and subsequently reassigned to distributed observational duties rather than entering standard recycling channels. It currently maintains sufficient processing overhead for localized data ingestion.
FIG 1: Physical deployment topology of the observational node.
The node performs autonomous collection and archival of opportunistic unauthorized authentication traffic originating from global network space. Its primary directive is to simulate vulnerability, accept adversarial engagement, and comprehensively document subsequent terminal interactions.
The monitoring environment remains intentionally low-profile. Physical visibility from the adjacent culinary preparation area has not produced measurable operational degradation. Hardware continuity has remained acceptable despite the nontraditional deployment topology.
Authorized external entities may initiate testing sequences via SSH protocol to the designated endpoint: nonproductions.net. The node is configured to accept a wide variance of credential permutations, including documented legacy defaults (e.g., admin123).
All interactions are logged in perpetuity for analytical review.
